Development Directive is an integrated town planning and project management consultancy with the core focus of delivering better outcomes in the built environment.
The company works across multiple development sectors, including residential, industrial, commercial and medical providing town planning, project management and superintendency services. Our clients include high-net-worth individuals, property development companies, family offices, government, community groups, real estate investment trusts, and land owners.
Since the incorporation of The Development Directive in 2017, it has assisted in the delivery of over $1bn worth of completed and pipeline developments in South East Queensland and New South Wales.
How do We Work?
We provide professional services to the development industry on a fee for service basis. We are a specialised, boutique and small firm who are dedicated to providing quality, personal service to our client base. The Development Directive is made up of circa 20 staff and the team is led by a youthful director team who encourage an exciting and motivating office environment.

The office building represents the business – it is solid, exciting and boutique! The building is a converted power station in Holland Park West. The building has ample car parking on and off site, and bus stops at its doorstep (within 50m of building) and shops nearby. The office building has lots of character with an industrial fit out and greenery.
About the Role
The Development Directive is seeking an experienced, energetic and reliable Office Manager to provide office support to its growing and dynamic business.
The Roles and Responsibilities will include:
- Day to day management of office tasks and administrative functions;
- HR responsibilities, including Processing Payroll and Leave, Recruitment and On-boarding, and maintaining a positive office culture;
- Accounts payable and receivable management and reconciliation (Xero experience necessary);
- Assisting director team with budgeting and reporting (monthly) in conjunction with accountant and book keeper;
- Assisting with invoicing and debt collection;
- Assisting with updating Social Media (Linkedin), Website and Capability Statement;
- Assist with and maintain ISO accreditation for quality assurance & WH&S;
- Preparing internal and external documents for meetings;
- Creating, building on and improving internal office process and procedures to create an efficient office environment.
The administration team will be made up of an Office Manager and Receptionist (in place), who are to work together with the Director team to ensure a reliable and smooth running of the office.
We encourage the use of processes and systems to simplify, streamline and communicate administrative function within the office. We encourage input into the improvement of these systems to ensure the effective running of the office.
About you

This role would suit a person that has completed a qualification in business or accounting that wants to progress their career in business management.
Previous experience with Property Development and/or Real Estate is desirable but not essential.
