We are an experienced yet aspiring electrical contractor based in Wynnum.  We have been in business for over 10 years and have serviced our local area and greater Brisbane with distinction, servicing all types of domestic and commercial works. We pride ourselves on our comprehensive and professional services to all our clients.

We’re seeking a highly motivated, self-starter professional Office Manager. The ideal candidate would be ready to seize this opportunity and make it their own. This role will see you at the helm, creating change and improving the way we do things. It entails you to drive office efficiencies and processes including organising the schedules of a growing team of dedicated trademen.  

To be successful in this role, you will need to be highly organised, love a challenge and be willing to lead the team in a way that elevates and streamlines Keid In Electrical in their day to day business. 

As a cornerstone of our success, you'll report directly to the owner, skillfully linking trades, supervisors, customers, and suppliers.  Your role doesn't just streamline job orders and scheduling—it provides essential customer updates and manages day-to-day admin tasks, keeping the business vibrant while building relationships with our valuable stakeholders.

About the job: 

On a typical day, you will do the following: 

  • Using our job management system to create, schedule, order and invoice jobs. Experience with Aroflo highly desirable but not essential.
  • Job preparation: collecting required documentation from suppliers and sub-contractors, processing payments from customers, liaising with customers and our Tradesman. 
  • Job scheduling: Securing jobs with customers and collecting their availability on a weekly basis, ensuring a steady flow of jobs remain in the pipeline.
  • Answer customer enquiries via phone and email & manage shared inbox.
  • Confirm material orders and deliveries, purchasing and receiving deliveries.
  • Communicate effectively with customers every step of the way and following them up for a Google review. We love getting valuable feedback for continuous improvement from our customers including 5-star reviews.
  • Reviewing supplier and contractor invoices. 
  • Responsible for payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable. 
  • Manage the day-to-day administrational tasks required by the business including sourcing trades, maintaining vehicles & equipment registers, managing apprenticeship compliance and other tasks as required. 
  • Create and maintain company policies and procedures as required. 

About you: 

To succeed in this role, ideally you will need the following attributes: 

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role within the Electrical trade or Construction industry, data/communication or fire experience very highly regarded.
  • Skilled in job coordination/scheduling and managing administrational tasks.
  • Experience with Aroflo not essential but highly advantageous.
  • A willingness to learn and develop on the job skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and solution focused when problems arise.  
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on efficiency and time management. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise and stay one step ahead.
  • Proficiency in office software and technology.
  • Xero accounting knowledge.
