About this part of our organisation:
Our Zinc Assets in Australia include multiple & geographically dispersed operations, including underground and open pit mines, processing plants and port facilities. We have operations across Asia, North and South American continents and Europe. Mount Isa is home to the majority of our assets in Australia and this role is based residentially in Mount Isa.
About your potential new position:
The Workforce Support Hub was created as a central location for employees to access support and information in relation to the operational changes to the Mount Isa Copper Operations and the Copper Concentrator. The HR Transition team, located at the Hub, provides a variety of support to the business across areas including recruitment and redeployment/ transition.
In this role, your typical activities will include:
- Assisting with recruitment processes (running advertisements, completing shortlists, scheduling interviews)
- Document control and preparation
- Data entry and data management – particularly of the Acendre system
- Providing information to internal and external stakeholders
- Producing weekly reports and email communications
- Collaborating with the wider Transition team to proactively manage vacancies and recruitment strategies
- Assisting a variety of departments across the entire business
- Learning our systems and growing your HR knowledge through hands on application and mentoring
This a fast past environment with an emphasis on HR administrative tasks. Accordingly, we will be looking for you to be someone who:
- Can remain focused on the work at hand and prioritise well
- Has a strong organisational capacity and is able to process high volumes of work efficiently and accurately
- Effectively communicates at all levels of the organisation
- Handles sensitive information appropriately
- Maintains composure with a positive attitude amidst change
- Has a keen interest in Human Resources
As an entry level Human Resources position, formal qualifications are not a requirement but would be respected. Experience with Acendre and SuccessFactors systems would be highly regarded. Please also note that this role is for a fixed term period of twelve months. A lot can happen in that time, and as your skill set and knowledge of our business grows, other opportunities may emerge.
