We have successfully developed a Global Centre of Excellence for Offshore Geosciences in our Perth office, and currently have exciting opportunities for Offshore Geotechnical Engineers to join the team and help service the growing technical demands of our clients operating in the offshore sector. This will primarily support the development of natural gas and offshore wind projects around the world, but with a specific focus on Australia.

What you'll do
You will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive team to provide pragmatic advice on a range of challenging offshore projects and explore new and innovative ways of enhancing project workflows. You will also:
- Plan and manage Offshore Geotechnical investigations.
- Process and interpret geotechnical data for the development of integrated ground models.
- Use the results of in situ and laboratory tests to define appropriate design geotechnical properties.
- Perform geotechnical analyses for the design of foundations for offshore structures, including but not limited to piled foundations, shallow foundations and anchors.
- Perform geotechnical analyses for subsea pipelines and cables.
- Present the outcomes of your work in concise technical documents and presentations.
- Proactively interact with representatives from other technical disciplines to deliver optimal project outcomes.
For this role, we suggest that you have the following qualifications and expertise:
- Solid experience in Geotechnical Engineering. Previous offshore experience would be viewed favourably but is not essential.
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Experience in the processing and interpretation of geotechnical site characterisation data.
- Geotechnical foundation design experience.
- A drive to learn and develop skills across all aspects of Offshore Geotechnical Engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An attention to detail coupled with an ability to also see the bigger picture.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new situations and challenges.
- Highly motivated with a commitment to working as a collaborative member of a close-knit technical team.
- An innovative and inquisitive mindset.
- Although this role is primarily office-based, you should have a willingness and ability to work offshore on an intermittent basis.
