OHV Component Overhaul Supervisor - Mackay Workshop
Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced OHV Component Overhaul Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overhaul of OHV components in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the quality of workmanship meets the specifications and that all safety, health and environmental requirements are adhered to.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
A Certificate IV in Engineering – Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent.
Proven experience as an OHV Component Overhaul Supervisor or in a similar role.
A comprehensive understanding of OHV Component Overhaul procedures and requirements.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
A strong commitment to safety, health and environmental principles.
The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Be familiar with safety, quality and construction or maintenance procedures and requirements.
Monitor and ensure compliance of the Safety, Health and Environment Plan.
Plan and coordinate resources and equipment for the work to conduct the work in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.
Brief and coordinate Leading Hands and labour.
Manage Safety, Health and environmental issues in the workshop by monitoring the situation and providing leadership on issues.
Ensure that the quality requirements of the client are adhered to and that Company procedures are followed.
Ensure correct material, machinery, equipment and personnel are available and suitable for completion of work.
Assess risks and hazards involved in tasks and methods to manage the hazards in order to prevent incidents, injury and damage.
Provide training, guidance and counselling to subordinates when necessary.
Maintain daily timesheets for labour and equipment.
Be familiar and component with the HVNL load management requirements.
Safety
Undertake all responsibilities in a safe manner.
Ensure a safe working condition is present for all employees, contractors and visitors.
Participate in daily pre-start meetings.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems such as job safety analysis, pre-work checklists and risk assessments.
Comply and have input into safe working procedures.
Report hazards, incidents and accidents within company guidelines.
Assist with safety sections for reports, tenders and proposals.
Actively participate in safety training.

Working Conditions:
Standard office hours, Monday to Friday
Occasional travel may be required.
