Skylight Mental Health delivers a range of recovery oriented community mental health services by working alongside people experiencing mental illness, family and friends who care for them, and the broader general South Australian community.
Role Overview:
Skylight is seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader to lead and manage a team of Support Coordinators and Recovery coaches who are dedicated to making a difference and enabling greater independence for participants and are providing support coordination to clients funded under NDIS and a range of other sources.
Your focus will be to ensure efficient and effective Support Coordination and Recovery Coaching services are delivered by the team. You will lead the team to enhance performance and drive continuous improvement across the service.
Duties include, but are not limited to, client and team support, outreach, NDIS Coordination, quality and safeguarding, and management of the team.
- A passion for people, supporting and building people’s strengths, resources, resilience and ability to manage their life.
- A tertiary qualification relevant to mental health or community services and/or adaptable skills and experience in those areas.
- Demonstrated ability to provide support and supervising of a diverse staff team across multiple work locations, to meet KPIS targets and report on the delivery of Support coordination hours.
- Experience within the disability support sector and/or the NDIS, and experience in managing support coordination and NDIS plans.
- Demonstrated ability to apply rehabilitation and recovery principles and culturally competent practices to facilitate the recovery journey for program participants.
- Commercial acumen and strong management capability to monitor and manage performance against targets and budgets.
- High level of self-management, communication and teamwork skills.
- Can think critically with an ability to think outside the square to find solutions
- The ability to use technology and data as a medium to better manage and support our clients and workforce.
- (Desirable) Lived experience of mental illness and excellent skills in appropriate use in the support of Skylight customers and participants.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, email and internet and the ability to learn new systems as needed.
- Current SA Drivers Licence and willingness to use own vehicle.
- Must have current DHS Working With Children Check and DHS NDIS Worker Check.
