ABOUT THE ROLE:
As an Onsite Leading Hand, you will play an integral role with our on-site team in completing commercial projects across our diverse range of sectors and clients. This is a hands-on position working almost exclusively on-site and on the tools, you will lead an on-site team of trades fitting out stores across QLD.
Other duties will include but not limited to:
- Provide on site guidance and support to all sub-contractors and labour hire
- Actively participate in the fit out process, working with various tools
- Liaise with clients in a professional manner, conducting site visits and walk throughs
- Be committed to providing an excellent finished product
- Work to tight deadlines and schedules
- Be aware and act upon any potential Health and Safety hazards or risks which may be presented on site
- Provide regular and consistent updates from site to Construction Management

The option to travel nationally to complete projects can be offered to successful candidates.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The preferred candidate for a Leading Hand will possess:
- Full Qualifications in Carpentry or Cabinet Making
- Extensive experience in joinery, ideally in a shopfitting/construction industry
- A strong capacity to work to a schedule and deadline
- An understanding of Industry specific standards
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively and efficiently
- Reliable and helpful to all co-workers
- Open to over time requirements and travel
- Possess a current Drivers License
