The Role & The Team:
The role of OneSKY Manager, Scope Control and Projects represents one of the leadership positions withing the Operations Team. This team includes all functions that conduct planning and support for the Transformation program. The functions of the Operations Team include governance, coordination, strategic planning, resource planning, risk management, master scheduling, sustainment management and admin support for the vast OneSKY and Aerospace change program.
The primary purpose of the Scope Control and Projects role is as follows:
- Assess all Statements of Need and Change Requests as they are submitted to the OneSKY and Aerospace Change Program by stakeholders such as operational managers, program managers and strategy leaders, to determine their impact on extant scope,
- Make recommendations on the most effective approach to address proposals and/or change requests through consultation with impacted program and business leaders.
- Work with business units on organisational needs to ensure the change program is delivering against the contemporary requirements of the organisation.
- Maintain a strategic capability roadmap view that identifies the schedule of release for new systems in scope for the change program,
- Collaborate with the Sustainment stakeholders to allocate capability enhancements into sustainment programs of work.
- Collaborate and support Strategic Planning for all new Investment Cases and/or Projects.
- Manage project definition, allocation and set up within the Change Program to ensure that the project delivery team members have clear scope, budget and schedule information and understand the delivery expectations.
