As a Senior Project Engineer (Controls & SCADA) in the Commercial & Industrial Markets (C&I), you'll be accountable for large and complex Microgrid Controls scoping, procurement, design and commissioning. You will work within a team of engineers to problem solve technical issues with internal and external stakeholders, to deliver the best outcome for the project.

What you’ll be doing:
Developing project technical specifications for system controls, communications and SCADA incorporating information from key stakeholders.
Undertaking system modelling to provide and options analysis of the best techno-economic solution for a project.
Managing microgrid control OEMs implementation, designs, integration with systems and testing plans on microgrid projects.
Ensuring safety design principals are utilised wherever engineering work may have a downstream impact on the safety of people, property or the environment.
Optimising control system strategies (generation or load) to better suit outcomes for AGL Assets.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and either Chartered or working towards Chartership with Engineers Australia (or equivalent in other countries), coupled with any additional industry related Accreditations.
Experience in microgrid control system design, communications and/or SCADA design, development or commissioning.
Experience working in cross disciplinary delivery teams across major industrial and commercial renewables OEM or EPC.
Knowledge and experience with microgrid design and engineering software (HOMER, Gridcog) and excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Well-developed, detail orientated organization skills and good interpersonal and written / verbal communication skills.
