RSPCA is Australia’s best known and most respected animal welfare organisation, working tirelessly to prevent animal cruelty, caring for over 9,000 animals in South Australia every year. We are animal protectors, carers and guardians and bring solace to the abandoned, surrendered and injured. We offer shelter, education, medical attention and love to help animals in need find loving forever homes. We advocate for the humane treatment of all living creatures, and we are the only charity empowered by State Parliament to prosecute perpetrators of animal cruelty and neglect.
RSPCA South Australia is looking for two permanent Part Time Op Shop Manager to successfully manage the daily operations of one of our brand new store, with the purpose of driving sales, delivering high levels of customer service and managing the volunteer workforce.
These roles are part time of 30 hours per week with alternating weekends. Flexibility is a must for these roles.
Hours of operation 10am - 5pm Monday to Saturday and Sunday 11am - 4pm. Potential for Thursday late night in future.
In the role you will:
- Organise all store operations and allocating responsibilities to employees and volunteers.
- Build an effective team by leading and managing volunteers; identify clear work functions and monitor performance against the business objectives.
- Manage the Op Shop volunteer roster and regularly review to ensure suitable volunteers meet the operational requirements.
- Produce high quality finance management and reporting documents within specific timeframes.

The successful candidates will be energetic and tenacious in the achievement of goals, take initiative and demonstrate the personal drive to exceed targets. They will be 'self starters' with a strong sense of initiative encompassing excellent time management and organisational skills. They will encompass a positive personality, with a flexible attitude and the ability to ensure high priority to customer satisfaction is provided. The successful managers will encompass excellent written skills and strong attention to detail, ensuring work produced is accurate and consistently meets quality standards.
