About Foxleigh Mine:
Foxleigh Mine is located 15km south of Middlemount and approx. 275km northwest of Rockhampton. The mine is in its 23rd year of operation producing premium PCI metallurgical coal for use in steel manufacturing. Foxleigh produces benchmark quality, PCI coal for export market. About the Role:
Foxleigh Mine are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor with OCE qualifications to perform core functions within the Production team.
The role will be responsible for:
- Execute statutory duties to the mining operation, focusing on ensuring a safe workplace for all Coal Mine Workers;
- Building effective working relationships with various stakeholders within the mining operation;
- Leading and mentoring crews to deliver the mine plan and build a positive and caring culture;
- Contributing to the review and development of risk assessments, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in incident investigations.
- Play an integral role in the management of site emergencies;
- Ensure the mining activities are conducted in accordance with Foxleigh's Safety and Health Management System.
About You:
To be considered for the role, you will posses:
- QLD Open Cut Examiner (OCE) ticket;
- Supervisory qualifications - S1/S2/S3/G2;
- Demonstrated experience supervising a team to deliver against targets;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Genuine care and respect for co-workers, an ability to form strong partnerships and ‘challenge the norm’.
