Operating Theatre Assistants (Theatre Orderly) to work within the Procedural Services team, on-site at South Brisbane.We are recruiting to positions in a permanent full-time capacity. The position of
Operating Theatre Assistant will see you provide a quality and safe service as a part of MHB's Procedural Suites care for adult, obstetric and Paediatric patients requiring surgical intervention.Salary range: $32.23 - $33.66 (Operational Officer Level 3) per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging.
What you'll be doingAs an integral member of the team, you will:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical cases.
- Cleaning operating rooms and maintaining equipment after each case in accordance with infection control procedures.
- Undertake positioning of patients utilising manual handling principles and
- Other duties as directed.

Desirable- Currently hold a Certificate III in Health Care Support (Operating Theatre Practice) or Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
- Minimum of two years previous experience in an Operating Theatre Assistant role would be highly desirable.
You will also have excellent communication skills and knowledge of medical terminology, as well as demonstrated knowledge of Theatre equipment and the ability to work well independently under minimal supervision.
