You bring to this role a strong understanding of an enterprise risk management framework gained through Operational Risk and Compliance experience in Banking & Financial Services (Line 1 or 2 Risk roles). Your background is in Consumer, Business or Agri Banking with knowledge of the products, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
With excellent communication skills you have the ability to present, influence and negotiate across all levels of management and can establish and maintain effective relationships with key business units. You are a team player who thrives on building meaningful connections and your proactive approach ensures quality outcomes.
As an Operational Risk Manager you’ll get to:
- Implement and manage the risk and compliance framework within the Business and Agri Banking Division of the Bank (your portfolio) by ensuring that all risk and compliance activities are undertaken in a timely and accurate manner and escalated where required.
- Form part of the Divisional Risk team that is a centre of expertise for risk management and compliance and provides strategy, risk appetite, governance, policy and framework support to the business to drive sound risk management practice.
- Provide guidance, education and support to Board & Board/Management Committee members, Senior Management, and internal and external stakeholders to enhance the further development of a strong risk and compliance culture across the Bank.
This is a full-time, permanent position which can be based in Melbourne, Bendigo or Adelaide. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, including a hybrid model with a minimum of two days per week based out of a local Corporate Office.
