Deep experience and capability with a genuine care about creating better lives for people along the way.Be part of the team that's up for the challenge of transforming lives for good.The OpportunityThe purpose of this position will be to undertake Health & Safety by supporting and monitoring operational compliance with Health & Safety legislation, regulations, contractual obligations and John Holland policies standards, procedures & plans.This role will assist the General Manager in the Infrastructure HSE team and project leads to provide operational Health and Safety support across the Infrastructure business unit.Key Accountabilities
- Provide operational H&S guidance, diligence, consistency, and discipline to business leaders to drive a culture of best practice.
- Provide specialist H&S advice and input to specialist business units during tendering, project planning and project delivery.
- Analyse data and information to support the continuous improvement of the John Holland HSEQS management System (HSEQS MS)
- Mentor and support the development of project H&S personnel in leading H&S practices and driving improvement.
- Maintain regular visibility across the workplace, building relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Manage the development of Project H&S Support staff.
- Support the overall effectiveness of workplace Operational Safety risk processes and management.
- Build and maintain relationships with workplace specific internal and external stakeholders through effective stakeholder management strategies, ongoing engagement, collaboration, and consultation.
- Develop high level project systems, e.g. H&S management plans, emergency response plan etc.
- Develop, Implement, coordinate, and monitor the effectiveness of a H^S Training Management plan.
- Mentoring projects teams, support, and subcontractors.
- A bachelor's degree in science or applied science majoring in either work health & safety or other associated disciplines.
- Construction HSEQS Management (5+ years).
- Generalist H&E management (8+ years).
- Specialist H&S Management (3+ years).
- Team management experience.
- Ability to travel Nationally.
