Job description

Operational Support Coordinator - Support our Sport and Recreation Operations!
The Office of Sport is the lead NSW Government agency for sport and active recreation. We make a difference to people’s lives by creating healthier people, connecting communities and making a stronger NSW. 

We are seeking applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic candidates with a background in administration and Operational Support, along with an understanding of the Sport and Recreation sector.  This is an ongoing fulltime role based at Sydney Olympic Park with an attractive salary ranging from $79,032 up to $86,539 per annum per annum plus 11% superannuation and 17.5% leave loading. This is a government-based role with job security and excellent career advancement opportunities.


About the role

We are a vibrant and unique workplace, where no two days are the same! Through our mission of Building Active Communities, we work tirelessly and with passion to improve the lives of people across NSW through sport and active recreation.  With ten Sport and Recreation Centres, six Olympic Sport Venues and offices throughout the state, the Operational Support Coordinator provides administrative support to our Centres, venues, and regions to assist with business continuity and projects as and when required. There may be some travel to regional Centres as needed to support operations and collaboration with key stakeholders.

About you

Our ideal candidate will perform the following key functions:
• provide support to the Operations Business Unit along with Centres, venues and regions to assist with operational projects and tasks as required 
• develop and identity process improvement opportunities regarding the collation and dissemination of information to support collaboration with the Operations team and Centres, Venues & Regions staff
• undertake administrative duties including periodic financial transactions via processing of invoices, complete travel & accommodation requests, arrange Operations meetings including planning of agendas and documenting minutes, and other ad hoc administration requirements 
• assist with the organising and distribution of Centres, Venues, & Regions operational items as required including equipment & uniforms
• work collaboratively with key stakeholders including Operations Team, Centres, Venues and Regions staff, and key internal divisions including HR, Finance and Marketing and Communications
