About the Role:
Our Nambour team are seeking a new Operations Allocator.
The primary purpose of this position is liaising with the National Transport Office, Operations staff, Admin staff and oversee the running of the warehouse floor to ensure the efficient allocation of services and equipment to maximise efficiency while exceeding customer expectations.
Duties you can expect with this role include:
- Co-ordination of freight pick-ups and deliveries
- Monitoring compliance with fatigue, mass and maintenance requirements
- Ensuring the safe conduct of operations in the workplace
- Planning and building loads in line with customer requirements.
- Equipment and resource planning
- Enforcing businesses process and rules
- Safe and efficient transportation of customer goods
- Loading, unloading and load restraint of freight.
To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
- Flexibility in work hours to include weekends as required.
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Qualified to administer a fatigue risk management system (preferred, but not essential)
- The ability to manage staff effectively
- A strong customer focus with the ability to multitask
- Sound knowledge of metropolitan and regional freight networks
- Have a current & valid HR licence as a minimum
- Possess fatigue management training competency
- Have a commitment to workplace health and safety
- Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test
- Provide a current traffic history
