Healthcare Australia (HCA), services the healthcare industry throughout Australia, with various divisions including the Townsville Nursing branch. We are responsible for providing the highest quality nursing staff solutions, to hospitals and aged care facilities across Townsville.
POSITION PURPOSE
To ensure the successful delivery of strategic initiatives to increase our casual nurse candidate database in line with Healthcare Australia’s client needs and deliver all operational aspects of recruitment activities and daily shift bookings by effectively attracting, retaining and placing candidates according to clients’ needs. The position will work with others to develop processes that ensure appropriate use of staff resources and the efficient and successful recruitment of quality staff to convert client demand to filled shifts.
POSITION OBJECTIVES
- To identify and analyse new recruitment opportunities.
- To adopt successful recruitment practices to match client needs regarding skill, continuity and availability.
- To integrate new nurses into the workforce.
- To effectively interview, register and find work for new recruits.
- To develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients and nurses/carers.
- To contribute towards the growth and development of new business within the service line.
- To effectively manage all operational administration including daily inbound and outbound client and candidate calls.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance
- Ensure that staff and other resources are efficiently allocated and managed to meet budget requirements.
Client
- Cross sell HCA’s brands and services
- Maintain positive relationships with key internal stakeholders enabling smooth interfaces across business / function lines and delivering agreed outcomes.
- Professionally represent the company as the leading healthcare recruitment company in Australia.
- Maintain a high standard of conduct and work performance to promote Healthcare Australia’s reputation with key internal and external stakeholders.
Process
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data on client staffing deficiencies, projected needs and casual vacancies through regular coordination with Client Services.
- Ensure accurate and appropriate nurse records are entered in the system.
- Maintain targeted advertising – drafting and strategically advertising using a range of media.
- Review applications, manage interviews and consider applicants to align with client needs.
- Process applicant files and enter onto operating system.
- Facilitate support steps for newly registered during first three months with their respective agency.
- Work safely and in accordance with Healthcare Australia’s OHS policies and procedures.
- Identify ways of improving systems and processes within your area of responsibility.
- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned by your manager to assist in ensuring the success of the team.
- Familiarise and work in accordance with WHS and QMS systems, policies and procedures
- Actively identify, develop and implement business process improvements and efficiencies within your area.
- Perform ad hoc duties and projects assigned by your manager.
People
- Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Healthcare
Skills
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
- Intermediate MS Office skills.
- Excellent organisational skills
Experience
- Recruitment experience in the Nursing Sector (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in the casual nursing agency industry.
- Demonstrated experience successfully leading a sales oriented team
- Knowledge of booking systems.
- Significant experience and demonstrated success in people centric, multi-site service businesses.
