The Opportunity
We have a twelve-month fixed term contract to work within a busy and interesting trade settlement team supporting data integration projects.
What to expect
As a member of our cohesive and high performing team, you’ll focus on the day-to-day processing of our trade related activity including investment confirmation and settlement monitoring and instructing settlement details. You’ll be responsible for ensuring trades arriving from the front-end trade capture systems are processed and confirmations delivered to clients. You’ll resolve any queries arising from non-delivery of confirmations, and at all times ensure the timely and accurate capture and delivery of trades into the various systems. You’ll work in partnership with brokers and support customers in relation to any trade confirmation queries.
Responsibilities include:
Ensuring that all trades are delivered to the client, via a 3rd Party electronic mechanism (e.g. Markitwire, Reuters), where applicable.
Ensuring that all confirmations are delivered to the client, via either Fax, or E-Mail (or alternative route, such as ACS).
Resolving any queries in relation to non-delivery of electronic confirmations, liaising with either the 3rd Party Vendor and/or the Ops Services team, to ensure delivery by amending the trade after any changes / permission being granted.
Ensuring timely and accurate entry of trades into various clearing venues, as appropriate.
Liaising with brokers and/or customers in relation to non-delivery of fax, email and ACS confirmations.
A little about you
You’ll have experience in trade settlements and have strong product knowledge across asset classes including Rates, FX Forwards, Money Market, Options, ASX Futures, regional equities and Fixed Income. You’ll have, a strong understanding of domestic and international settlement markets and have previous exposure to clearing and regulatory requirements.
You’ll have experience managing trade flow, ideally from a financial services background and be experienced in managing trade queries from institutional customers and front office.
You’ll have excellent communication skills, and proven ability to build rapport and develop relationships. You’ll have good attention to detail and be able to manage multiple tasks within strict timeframes. You’ll be adept at working with and contributing to a team and a have a willingness to learn.
