KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Management and Performance
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and inspire teams through clear decision making and a collaborative management style
- A high level of emotional intelligence and resilience
- Overseeing the entire service delivery process
- Coach, mentor and supervision of direct reports
- Research and implement best practice for STA and MTA
- Ensure clear reporting of service delivery outcomes
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
- Prepare and manage the budget for the operations department
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the organisation.
- Respond to and resolve complaints
- Undertake on call duties on a rotating roster
- Install culture of staff wellbeing and safety
- Develop, maintain and be a role model for a culture among staff that is open to change and supports a continuous improvement culture, engagement and change initiatives and strategies.
- Provided professional leadership and expertise in assessment, support planning and care coordination. Be highly responsive to providing advice and assistance to staff and senior management.
- Drive outcomes within a highly regulated environment subject to both legislative and industry standards.
- Provide advice to the CEO on improving service delivery models and structure.
- Ability to establish, monitor and review financial budgets and work within financial constraints. Track finances including account charge out to ensure optimal claiming in line with policy and procedure.
- Review, identify and develop annual business plans/goals for each service area.
- Develop and implement procedures and work instructions to support service standards, continuous improvement, and quality assurance systems.
- Present to the board and CEO with results and plans for engagement and business alignment.
- Self-initiate the development and implementation of innovation and continuous improvement across the organisation and at a personal level.
- Support other functions as assigned.
- Other duties and tasks as requested by the CEO.
Participant Relations
- Respect each participant as an individual and in relation to their need for assistance, ensuring that they are enabled, by support and assistance to maintain as much independence as possible, by being encouraged to make the greatest possible use of their abilities.
- Respect participant and carers rights to privacy, confidentiality and individuality and ensure these rights are followed in line with organisational requirements; and,
- Be participant focused and maintain a good understanding of the role and responsibilities in meeting the needs of clients and their carers in delivering services, support, opportunities, and choice.
- Co-ordinate and supervise the activities of team members, including mentoring and coaching, development and training, allocation of duties and performance reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Qualification and minimum 5 years of management, leadership or change management.
- Minimum Certificate IV Disability or a willingness to obtain, with a commencement within 12 months of appointment.
- Previous experience working with people with disabilities and children and young people at risk.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to provide responsive and person-centered active support.
- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately when under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to use a Smart Phone, Tablet and software application relevant to work.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
- Possess and maintain a current driver’s licence.
- Possess and maintain a Working with Vulnerable People Card.
- Possess and maintain Administration of Medication Accreditation (if required).
- Possess and maintain a current industry First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 - Provide First Aid).
All staff must have a current WWVP Registration with NDIS Endorsement, unrestricted drivers’ license and the ability to complete a work health assessment.
