Service Operations Manager
St John Ambulance Tasmania is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Service Operations Manager to oversee a vital suite of services including First Aid Training, Community Care, Non-Emergency Patient Transport, and Event Health Services. This role is crucial in fulfilling the organisation's mission to make Tasmania safer through first aid and community support.
Role Overview:
As the Service Operations Manager, you will be integral in leading and managing daily operations across multiple disciplines to achieve strategic and financial objectives. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead the development of operational processes and manage resources efficiently to ensure excellence in service delivery across the state.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver impactful outcomes aligned with St John Ambulance Tasmania's overarching goals.
- Develop and refine operational procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Foster a positive workplace culture and drive people and culture initiatives that enhance employee and customer experiences.
- Maintain and expand high-level relationships with key stakeholders, including volunteers, contractors, and funders.
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety legislation to provide a safe working environment.
What We Need From You …
- Proven senior management experience with a knack for strategic thinking and creative problem-solving in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
- Strong leadership qualities, capable of nurturing a values-based organisational culture.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage complex issues and relationships effectively.
- A comprehensive understanding of business functions related to health services, retail sales operations, and property and fleet management.
Qualifications
- A degree in healthcare, management, or an equivalent tertiary qualification is highly desirable.
- A current Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
- Valid Drivers Licence, as this role requires statewide travel.
