About the Role
We are seeking a professional and highly competent Operations Manager who thrives on the challenge of transforming a business in need of operational improvement. Our ideal candidate is excited by the opportunity to streamline and optimize our practice, setting the stage for sustainable growth.
As a solutions-oriented leader, you will naturally excel at identifying problems, developing effective solutions, and evaluating their impact. You will then enthusiastically support your team in implementing these solutions through to completion, demonstrating initiative and courage throughout the process.
This fast-paced role requires someone who excels in dynamic environments. As the Operations Manager, you will oversee a team across three locations, a complexity that demands a composed, steady influence to anchor the team and ensure smooth operations. Core Responsibilities
Optimise Operations:
- Implement systems to enhance efficiency and workflow management.
- Identify and champion continuous improvement initiatives, strategically elevating standards.
- Ensure compliance with all required NDIS regulations.
- Review and improve business processes and profitability, including team utilization, procurement of consumables and services, and day-to-day operations.
- Elevate customer service by providing further training and development in conjunction with People & Performance Manager
- Manage all locations and facilities effectively.
Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinate with the practice owner and the People and Performance manager to deliver results above industry benchmarks.
- Temporarily manage the practice admin team and take responsibility for hiring a new admin manager.
Project Management:
- Engage in strategic and business planning with the practice owner, including budgeting and defining the service scope and strategic vision.
- Develop project plans as required and manage their timely implementation through to successful completion.
Performance Tracking:
- Review data and KPIs, develop strategies to drive performance, and keep everyone informed about progress.
- Assist in developing financial models for service provision within the practice to identify areas of opportunity for growth and improvement.
- Review cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reports, using strategic and industry experience to help the business grow.
- Develop comprehensive reports that provide the practice owner with full oversight of the operation and financial health of the practice.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates must possess a mature, professional demeanour and a deep understanding of high-level customer service, project and team management, and excellent problem-solving skills. Despite your strategic thinking, a hands-on approach is essential, as we are a small team with big goals.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- 7-10 years experience in operations, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Tertiary qualification in business administration, business, or commerce.
- Experience managing people in a small business environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to stakeholders at various levels of the business.
- Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- A confident senior manager of in-house teams plus contractors with a proven background in identifying, streamlining, and implementing efficiencies, practices, and improvements relating to delivery.
- A change agent who consistently seeks and identifies continuous improvement initiatives and can successfully promote and lead 'buy-in' from staff and stakeholders.
- Drive and promote customer-centricity and excellence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills when preparing monthly reports and business plans.
