An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations/Facilities Manager to join our high performing team at The Strand.
The Opportunity
As Operations Manager, you will play an instrumental role in driving the overall daily operations and smooth running of the Shopping Centre. Reporting to the Centre Manager, your role is to ensure the property is well maintained to the highest level of presentation, whilst upholding high standards of security, safety, performance and compliance for the asset.
Key duties of the position will include:
- Coordinating the strategic and operational direction of the Centre, whilst containing expenditure within budget.
- Managing and overseeing all aspects of hard and soft services, coordination of contractors to ensure works are performed as contracted, including conducting inspections and obtaining quotations for works to be carried out.
- Managing property maintenance, emergency issues, minor CAPEX projects and OHS.
- Assisting in the management and delivery of new tenancy fit-outs and the de-fit makegood process.
- Ensuring Work Health & Safety of the Centre through contractor inductions, certificates and completing and maintaining an incident report system.
About You
To be successful in this busy hands-on role, you will require excellent communication skills, adaptability, analytical thinking, attention to detail, business acumen and a team-focused attitude. You will be proactive and have a strong client focus, and a demonstrated track record of achieving results through developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with key stakeholders including tenants, retailers, contractors, customers and internal personnel.
You have 7+ years’ experience in Operations/Facilities Management, ideally within a retail Shopping Centre environment, including prior experience with developing and managing budgets and expenditure reforecasting. Persons possessing a degree or trade qualification (mechanical or electrical) will be viewed favourably.
