Brickworks QLD is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to join our team in Rochedale.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading the SEQ manufacturing plants and team by driving results in safety, quality, productivity and profit. You will also champion Operational Excellence, including preparing, implementing and delivering strategic plans and budgets for the business.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Brickworks WHS, and environmental standards to maintain safe working conditions.
• Lead and develop exceptional teams, fostering a positive employee culture centred around our Brickworks Values.
• Drive teams towards financial targets and KPI achievement, while continuously improving productivity, quality, and cost control.
• Develop and implement strategic plans and budgets for the business, prioritising operational excellence.
• Assess plant requirements and strategise for long-term capacity.
• Oversee environmental management, including quarry operations.
• Review outsourced operations for consistency and efficiency.
• Ensure management of housekeeping standards are maintained across all sites.
• Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to leverage our company position.
Success Requirements
• Bachelor of Engineering or relevant discipline preferred.
• Over 5 years experience in manufacturing, with strong knowledge of managing manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence internally and externally
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with a track record of developing exceptional teams.
• Financial acumen with experience in P&L management and budgeting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
