The Opportunity
Due to rapid growth, we are seeking a motivated, experienced and commercially minded Operations Manager to drive the business forward. This is a great opportunity to make your mark within a friendly and fast paced team, located in the northern suburbs.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring your decision making is driven by safety, service and cost.
Key Duties
- Responsibility for the effective utilisation of resources
- Oversee the planning and scheduling of services
- Develop and improve operational processes and procedures and implement best practices to enhance efficiency
- Lead, motivate, assist and performance manage operational team members
- Implement strategies that maximise a profitable operation and minimise costs wherever possible
- Foster relations with key stakeholders
- Identify and resolve operational issues
- Participate, implement and commit to Safety Standards and CoR
- Develop KPI reporting on all facets of operations and logistics
Skills
- Proven experience within the waste management industry or similar, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Highly organised with a focus on attention to detail & accuracy
- Possess sound computer skills
- Results-oriented and able to make data-driven decisions
- A commitment to creating a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of Wastedge a distinct advantage
This is a pivotal role that requires a manager with previous experience within the Logistics – Waste Management Sector. You will be able to shape an inclusive and accountable culture in a fast-paced environment.
