Considered to be a leader within the bus and coach industry in Victoria and built on a solid reputation of safety, service, and reliability, Crown Coaches is seeking to employ an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Education team in delivering a premium service for the Department of Education – Students with Disabilities Transport Program.
Supported and guided by the incumbent Operations Manager, this position requires an individual who is able to take ownership of this role whilst not being afraid to make those important decisions when it really matters. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to a very capable, experienced, and hard-working team of School Bus Drivers, Supervisors and Operational staff.
- Play a pivotal role in assisting Crown Coaches in delivering a transport solution to 15 Specialist Schools under the Students with Disabilities Transport Program (SDTP).
- Be the key point of contact for our Specialist Schools.
- Ensure delivery of all SDTP School Bus Services remain compliant under the Special School Bus Services Contract.
- Oversee the day-to-day operational activities of our Education division, including fleet and employee allocation and rostering;
- Ensuring all operational activities are in accordance with all associated Acts and Regulations;
- Assist in the management of fleet performance, investigate, manage and resolve employee incidents/complaints;

- Excellent organisational, time management , and prioritising skills;
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
- Excellent IT skills and experienced in fleet allocation systems;
- Outstanding customer service skills;
This is a hands-on operational role that will have you dealing directly with both internal and external stakeholders, troubleshooting various issues throughout the day and continually prioritising resources to minimise costs, whilst maximising service.
