About the role:
This is a new role reporting to our Group Director of Operations (GDO), responsible for developing and supporting the implementation of our Operational Plan and reviewing and monitoring Operational KPIs for various projects and initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with all levels of management and provide expert advice across a range of functions within the operations team including governance, strategy, and administrative activities relating to the function.
- Provide strategic advice and support to the GDO across all facets of business operations and service delivery to achieve organisational objectives.
- Alongside the GDO, lead the planning, execution and closing phases of various projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and within budget.
- On behalf of the GDO, lead and/or participate as a member of steering committees and working groups.
- Be a role model for effective and positive leadership which is ethical, results driven and future oriented.
- Work closely with stakeholders at all levels, inside and outside the organisation, to ensure project initiatives align with the organisation’s strategy.

About you:
- Must hold a clean, open Australian driver licence.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Services would be advantageous but not essential!
- Substantial demonstrated experience in NGOs, child safety, family support and disability (NDIS) or relevant sectors.
- Experience with strategic change management and communications.
- Proven ability to engage and coach operational staff with technical guidance around compliance requirements, processes and systems.
- Ability to communicate simply and effectively, both verbal and written, with a diverse staff group at all levels, recognising potential language barriers and cultural differences.
