The Role
To lead the team to ensure smooth daily warehouse operations to meet the customer needs. Key areas of responsibility include:
Operations
- Lead the floor operators to ensure smooth daily warehouse operations
- Supervise the team to plan and handle the orders under limited handling time and multiple storage locations
- Liaise and co-ordinate with internal and external customers in providing strategic logistics solutions
- Monitor and ensure effective manpower deployment to achieve high level of productivity, accuracy, and customer's KPIs
- Investigate and follow up operational issues / customer requests and execute action plans to improve
- Manage the operations in full compliance of company policies and lawful regulations
Team Management
- Develop systems, guidelines, work procedures and service standards for the team
- Delegate and supervise subordinates’ work
- Monitor team’s work progress
- Review subordinates’ performance
- Identify subordinates' training and development needs and provide necessary coaching to them
- Facilitate teamwork and information sharing within the team
- Handle disciplinary cases together with manager and HR team
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by management
What we are looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or related discipline
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a contract logistics environment; preference will be given to candidates who have vertical exposures to Fashion & lifestyle, retails and FMCG
- Proven experience in managing a sizable team comprising of direct hire and contractor staff
- Able to work independently and under pressure
- Flexible, team work oriented and able to communicate with people at all levels
- Energetic, out-going, resulted oriented attributes
- Good command of spoken and written English
