The Opportunity
Reporting to our Landfill Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage projects, and ensure efficient and compliant landfill activities. This role is ideal for a candidate with experience in the construction industry who is looking to leverage their skills in project management, site supervision, and operational efficiency within a waste management organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily landfill operations, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Monitor and manage the performance of landfill equipment and staff to maximize efficiency.
- Oversee waste disposal and recycling processes, maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance and success.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the landfill operations team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.
About You
- Prior experience in a similar role in the Construction or Waste industry is desirable.
- Proven track record of managing projects and supervising teams.
- Strong understanding of construction principles, site management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
