In this newly created role, you will report to the Building Office Manager and help facilitate a great customer experience by supporting the COO (Chief Operating Officer), Project Managers and teams around scheduling, resource supply, trade training and maintenance.
Key Objectives are outlined below:
Workload Planning
Follow company guidelines and work with designers when new jobs are accepted into the ERP system and organise and populate the Job Start Calander and balance the proportion of workload across Bathrooms, Kitchens and Laundry and by dollar value.
Labor Trade Resourcing
Liaising with the Project Management team you, will identify potential labour gaps and future labour requirements and liaise with COO (Chief Operating Officer) and Trade Trainer to prevent shortages. This includes building in extra capacity to cope with business growth, short term issues caused by variations.
Pre-job Schedule
Check and adjust the pre-populated ERP schedule taking into account project timelines, work access requirements (i.e. multi-level apartment), material requirements, product lead times, product measurement installation times and any other potential risk factors and communicate and work closely with the Project Management team on this.
Schedule Adjustment
React quickly to changes and work closely with Project Managers and recommend actions to keep projects within budget and completed on time. Communicate all changes clearly with all affected parties and develop systems to reduce impact to customers and the business as unavoidable changes occur. Review all schedules and adjust future schedules to make them more accurate to accommodate these changes.
Maintenance
Manage Maintenance Co-ordinator to achieve great customer service and ensure efficient completion and closure of maintenance tasks. Have good commercial awareness, understand and pro-actively manage warranty commitments and provide feedback and recommendations to COO and PM’s.
We are seeking someone with demonstrated experience and knowledge of customer service, ideally a Bachelor's degree in Project Management, or in a related field would be advantageous, as would a Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP). You will be commercially astute and have extensive experience in schedule planning and management and in-depth knowledge of the scope of projects within the renovation/construction industry. Strong communication skills and ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes, as well as excellent organisational, time-management, and communication skills are essential. Good trade knowledge and relationship building and experience in team building and mentoring are crucial skills for this opportunity. An attractive salary package will be negotiated to secure the right candidate for this opportunity. Please note, this is a five day a week head office based position.
