InvoCare is an industry leader within the funeral industry, we currently operate over 300 funeral locations, 17 cemeteries and 29 crematoria, throughout Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and growing.

The Operations Supervisor is a member of the Victorian Operations management team and leads the Tullamarine operations staff in providing funeral services to the local community. The Operations Supervisor ensures that a friendly and positive working environment is maintained where business outcomes, customer service, and staff capability and cooperation are the focus. This role entails the coordination and administration of funeral teams, provision of funeral supplies and vehicles and repair and maintenance of company assets so that funeral services are delivered in accordance with InvoCare policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Key areas of responsibility for this role include:

      Operations and Leadership

  • Coordinate funeral teams in the provision of supplies and resources so that services are delivered in accordance with policies, procedures, and quality standards. 
  • The role extends to dealing with external service providers including coffins, fleet, vehicle damage and contractors.
  • The Operations Supervisor role is inherent with being able to think quickly on your feet and making decisions whilst being confident with those decisions.
  • Be the role model for acceptable behaviours and standards and demonstrate a ‘can do’ approach to internal customers.

      Internal Systems and Processes and Health and Safety 

  • Ensure internal systems, processes and policies are updated and adhered to.
  • Comply with risk management, quality and health, safety environment management systems including statutory obligations to maintain high levels of customers satisfaction.
  • Assist in conducting weekly, monthly, and quarterly site audits.

      Customers

  • Identify and develop opportunities to provide exceptional service to customers with a continuous improvement and innovation in service ethos.

Knowledge, skills and experience required for this role include:

  • Management/operational experience in a service-driven organisation observing high safety standards.
  • Strong people leadership and ability to articulate clearly and positively.
  • Proven ability to move between strategy and operational execution.
  • Track record in managing business process and change initiatives within an organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining relationships.
  • Current Unrestricted Drivers’ Licence.
