About the Role The Operations & Systems Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre (MEC) team and its culture of change. Reporting to the Operations Manager (MEC), the role supports MEC operations, ensuring the Centre can deliver gold-standard entrepreneurial programs. With a focus on technology systems, this role streamlines administrative functions by identifying automation opportunities and developing efficient processes while adhering to university policies. Your new team has a start-up philosophy in the supportive and secure environment of the University.
Collaborating with the operations team, the coordinator emphasises continuous improvement and exceptional service delivery, requiring strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills. This full-time position may entail occasional weekend and out-of-hours work.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing processes and automations to enhance finance, HR, IT, and administrative functions, focusing on technological system enhancement.
Support the creation and refinement of efficient systems across teams, including the establishment of a central process library and ongoing adaptation to meet evolving needs.
Identifying opportunities for operational growth and innovation, assisting in the development of strategies to capitalise on these opportunities.
Aid in the development and implementation of automations to standardise processes for Centre operations and MEC Programs, supporting staff in transitioning to these systems and identifying opportunities for increased efficiency through automation.
Who we are looking for The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting, coupled with a talent for problem-solving. Strong communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively within diverse teams are crucial. 
You will also have:
A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline and subsequent experience in research or business administration, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and PowerApps.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly in error-free document preparation.
