About your new opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Operations Transformation Manager to join the SA Water Operations business group. There are a number of critical outsourced contract arrangements that provide water and/or wastewater services to our metropolitan and regional customers. These contracts all range in size, geography and duration and are all are of critical importance to our recipient customers.
As each of our major outsourced arrangements approaches end of contract, we need to identify the preferred future-state service delivery model and facilitate a seamless transition to this new future state so we can continue to provide safe, reliable and affordable services to our customers. This is going to be your key focus and success in the role coupled with your natural ability to liaise and foster relationships.
This role is a full time maximum term contract until 31 March 2025 and will report to Manager Commercial Operations, delivering a range of activities, included but not limited to:
- Develop and lead a program of work, including the design and distribution of tasks and responsibilities across stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met;
- Lead transition-related activities as they apply to new and existing commercial arrangements within an Operations context;
- Build and maintain strong, constructive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, focussed on achieving set objectives within the set timeframes.
- Critically review and look for opportunities for improved service delivery outcomes that can be managed, operated and supported.
- Manage project delivery including milestone and budgetary considerations.
- Manage stakeholders to ensure accountabilities and authorities are clear.
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Transition Manager to lead and facilitate the successful transition of outsourced contracts with a strong background in project management, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships expertly.
This role requires the ability to navigate through ambiguous project environments and drive successful outcomes.
Your technical experience coupled with the right mindset and behaviours, this role requires a breadth of skills and experience in program management, process improvement, consideration of the capability and operational acumen of our people, and the ability to execute enterprise and group strategic objectives.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Finance, Law, Economics or similar discipline relevant to contract and change management or equivalent experience
- Experience in the delivery of transition strategies that support the implementation of large, complex business transformation programs of work
- Experience with transition and change management including process, system and business implementations for government organisations or large, complex private sector
- Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to communicate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
