TRILITY is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Operator Maintainer to play a key part in the operation of the Wakefield Community Wastewater Management Systems.
The role
You will provide hands on support to the operations team across a range of operational and maintenance activities related to the wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and networks.
There are five wastewater treatment plants (Balaklava, Blyth, Hamley Bridge, Port Wakefield and Snowtown) with a varying array of associated pump stations, reuse locations and network mains. The role will be based in the Council depot in Balaklava, however will primarily involve frequent travel around all locations to conduct required works.
The role is also part of a rotating on-call roster to provide out of hours response to alarms and operational issues.

What we are looking for
- Experience in operation and maintenance of typical production assets such as pumps, valves and piping would be highly regarded
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence C Class
- Sound judgement in relation to operational issues
- The ability to ‘think on your feet’ when dealing with plant-related problems
- A reliable team member and effective communicator as part of a small team
- Effective time management skills to balance routine works and conflicting priorities
- Familiarity in use of PC’s and Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with water/wastewater experience desirable
