About the Role
Based in Fairview and Arcadia, the Operator Maintainer – IE will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of all equipment within our operational area. The primary responsibilities will include both preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as fault finding, as specified in the fortnightly work schedule.
In this position, you will be tasked with operating and maintaining equipment in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. You will utilise quality systems to minimise rework and adhere to all regulatory conditions, ensuring we maintain our licence to operate. Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality is essential in supporting our operational excellence.
This role is FIFO and on 2/2 roster work, with Brisbane as the point-of-hire.
Key accountabilities include:
- Uphold and ensure compliance with EHS standards for performance and behaviour.
- Implement programs to achieve the requirements of the Santos Management System (SMS).
- Coach and develop the team to continually improve EHS performance and effectiveness.
- Set goals through performance and development discussions and deliver on agreed plans.
- Adhere to company standards and processes, including governance, risk management, and EHS.
- Give and receive clear and effective communication, share knowledge within and across teams, and provide and receive feedback according to guidelines.
About You
You will be experienced in:
- Fostering a close working relationship and maintain high-level communication with other operations personnel to build positive relationships and ensure a positive outcome.
- Supervising contractors working on site to ensure compliance and effective project execution.
- Liaising with Maintenance Support and Operations Engineers to proactively resolve maintenance issues and prevent escalation.
- The planning and execution of scheduled shutdowns, providing input to schedules and driving execution for 100% compliance.
- Staying informed about regulatory developments in the instrumentation/electrical trade and apply this knowledge.
You must hold a valid QLD Electrical licence (Dual Trade (Instrument and Electrical) desirable) and, ideally, have previous experience in Oil & Gas Industry or similar. Additionally, you should have a proven proactive and flexible approach to work, ensuring adaptability in various situations.
