- Manage the day-to-day operations of Council’s Wastewater Treatment facilities
- Play a pivotal role in maintaining the health and safety of the community and environment
- Salary: $56k - $69k + up to $20k market allowance + super+ relocation assistance
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and operate Council's Wastewater Treatment plants on a day-to-day basis.
- Conduct regular chemical testing ensuring strict compliance with regulations and Council standards.
- Be flexible in adapting treatment processes and escalate related issues when required.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment.
- Collect and collate data as required for reporting to the Environmental Protection Agency.
- Identify and recommend process and infrastructure improvements that will increase the quality of wastewater services.
- Remain up to date with regulation and legislation changes.
- Provide prompt communication where maintenance requirements are identified.
· Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or equivalent trade-based qualification
· WHS White Card
· MR Class Drivers License
· Demonstrated experience in a role with similar scope and responsibilities.
· Confidence in utilising current and new technology.
