Optical Assistant/Dispenser - Karratha Eyecare

Karratha Eyecare is a leading optometry practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care services to our community. We thrive on providing full scope optometry care, and work to embrace relationships with local hospitals and visiting tertiary care services.

• Full-time, permanent position
• Assistance with relocation and accommodation expenses will be provided to facilitate a smooth transition into your new role.
• All-rounder role encompassing administrative, reception, and optical dispensing duties
• Opportunity to assist optometrists with dispensing requirements and support the clinical team 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform optical dispensing tasks, including assisting patients with frame and lens selections based on prescriptions
• Provide exceptional customer service, including reception duties such as greeting patients, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments
• Assist with administrative tasks, including maintaining patient records, processing orders, and managing inventory
• Collaborate with the optometry team to support the delivery of high-quality patient care

Experience

• Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing highly desirable
• Previous experience in optical dispensing and/or medical reception/administration roles preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and patient care
• Willingness to support colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the practice.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in all interactions, representing the practice with honesty, integrity and respect.
