About the Role
We are looking for an Optical Assistant to join our outstanding team of eye care professionals, assisting on Saturdays in our Floreat and Rockingham practices with additional weekday work where available. At Abernethy Owens you will have the opportunity to be part of an independent group that practices cutting edge Optometry whilst building long-lasting relationships with our patients. We have a strong focus on patient care, professionalism and communication.
The main focus of the role is providing support to our team of eye care professionals including administrative duties and ancillary testing support and would be well suited to any students enrolled in the UWA Doctor of Optometry course.
We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in the optical industry and is willing to be part of the team. As one of the faces of the practice you will need to possess excellent customer service skills, work efficiently, be pro-active and build a rapport with our established long-term patient base. You will be working alongside experienced Optometrists and qualified Optical Dispensers with a wide breadth of knowledge.
