Position: Optical Practice Assistant

• Full-time, permanent position
• All-rounder role encompassing administrative, reception, and optical dispensing duties
• Opportunity to assist optometrists with dispensing requirements and support the clinical team

Key Responsibilities

• Perform optical dispensing tasks, including assisting patients with frame and lens selections based on prescriptions
• Provide exceptional customer service, including reception duties such as greeting patients, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments
• Assist with administrative tasks, including maintaining patient records, processing orders, and managing inventory
• Collaborate with the optometry team to support the delivery of high-quality patient care

Experience

• Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing highly desirable
• Previous experience in optical dispensing and/or medical reception/administration roles preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and patient care
• Willingness to support colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the practice.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in all interactions, representing the practice with honesty, integrity and respect.
