The Opportunity
Sourcing a highly skilled Oracle Database Developer / Data Engineer with a robust background in designing, implementing, and managing complex database solutions. This professional brings a deep understanding of Oracle database technologies, combined with a proven track record of leveraging Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) to deliver high-quality data integration, ETL processes, and business intelligence insights. With a keen eye for innovation and efficiency, they are adept at deploying cloud-based data solutions across leading platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Azure ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness. Their strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to excellence make them a valuable asset in supporting Solutions Architects to develop and optimize database routines that drive program success. Through effective collaboration and communication, they bridge technical and business domains to deliver data-driven solutions that meet strategic objectives and operational needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Database Development and Maintenance: Develop and maintain robust database systems, including schema design, stored procedures, queries, and scripts for data manipulation and retrieval. Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of database systems.
- Data Integration and ETL Processes: Utilize Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) to design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes that integrate data from various sources into a cohesive and efficient architecture. Optimize data flows to improve performance and reliability.
- Business Intelligence and Reporting: Support the development of reporting and analytics solutions using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE). Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver insightful, actionable reports.
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Oracle database technologies, SQL, PL/SQL, and experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
- Cloud Technologies: Experience with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI and Azure Platform). Knowledge of cloud-based data warehousing, ETL, and analytics services is highly desirable.
- Data Modelling: Solid understanding of data modelling concepts and experience designing and implementing relational and dimensional data models.
