Working in the Organisational Equity and Inclusion team within the People & Culture department, this role will be instrumental to providing best-practice advice to the organisation, delivering innovative programs and initiatives and the supporting the development of inclusion strategy and action plans.
The role
We are seeking an Organisational Equity and Inclusion professional to join the Organisational Equity and Inclusion team. Reporting to the Organisational Equity and Inclusion Team Leader, your role is to:
- Promote and champion effective diversity and inclusion practices within Council through a range of programs, including developing and delivering information and support to all employees.
- Collate and analyse data and prepare reports on equity and inclusion, initiatives, projects and outcomes for a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate with Managers, Team Leaders and Coordinators to develop programs and initiatives and processes that address service gaps.
- Deliver data formed strategies and action plans that support an inclusive and equitable culture at Kingston City Council.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Public Health or similar or substantial relevant experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated understanding of workplace inclusion and diversity, with proven capacity to effectively deliver strategies and programs that are targeted and responsive.
- Proven experience identifying, developing and maintaining relationships for defined outcomes with a wide range of partners, including internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective planning, high level administrative skills and project management skills.
- Ability to demonstrate the Kingston City Council’s values of Future Orientated, Accountable, Dynamic, Expert, Community and Celebration.
