About the business
Palmwoods Kids Club is a unique Outside School Hours Care service. We are a proud not for profit P&C operated service, where all the fees goes back to the children and families of Kids Club and Palmwoods State School.
Our policies and procedures are developed by us for us. Our curriculum and program are 100% developed, reviewed and maintained by our team of educators, our management committee, our parents, our children and community.
We have a well established curriculum which includes a focus on environment, inclusion and our children's changing needs and interests.
We have a life sized Fairy Garden with bush tucker plants. An Astroturf area with tables and chairs. A beautiful forest environment to enjoy as well as loads of outdoor space to run as well as two adventure playgrounds.
Our indoor space is purpose built and extensively resourced. It includes a seniors area, indoor active spaces and a wonderful balance of; creative, dramatic, IT, literacy, numeracy, quiet spaces, social spaces and general fun.
We pride ourselves on our genuine commitment to the Reconciliation process, Inclusion as well as Sustainability and as such maintain a SIP, RAP and Sustainability Action Plan.
Our team philosophy is very much that our team is what makes Kids Club wonderful and for this reason Educators are responsible for a variety of aspects of our program. This ensures our educators feel a genuine sense of belonging which in turn creates wonderful team cohesion and as a result we have a group of children who are always cared for in the way every parent would expect.
