CELC offers Before School Care, After school Care and Vacation Care at 11 services throughout the Cairns Region from Mossman to Gordonvale.
We are looking for a passionate Child Services Support Worker (Cook) to join our Mackillop OSHCare on a permanent full-time basis.
Your New Role
As an educator you will support the day-to-day operations of the service ensuring that every child at the service is safe, happy and engaged. Responsible for kitchen management, healthy menus, ordering, cooking and cleaning of kitchen Needs experience in a kitchen, willing to obtain their Food Safety Supervisors Certificate if they do not already have one
Supervision of children
Provide children with a safe, secure and inclusive play space
Laugh, play and create with children in activities such as sports, craft, cooking and games
Accompany children on excursions during Vacation Care
Assist in planning, implementation and documentation of children’s experiences
Support the delivery My Time Our Place and Spirituality in Early Years Programs

About You
QLD Blue Card or ability to obtain
ACECQA approved qualifications preferable but not necessary
Experience working with children is desirable eg coaching sports, OSHC, schools or Early Learning
Passion for working with primary school age children
Willingness to learn
Effective communication and relationship building skills
Energetic, enthusiastic and reliable
