As an Educator at our Outside School Hours Care Service, Silkwood Independent School Helping Hands, you will join the children in a variety of activities to encourage their curiosity and develop their well-being! Offering 17.5-hours per week, you will work after school and school holiday shifts and:
- Bring a sense of adventure, empathy and energy, as well as a meaningful teamwork approach each day.
- Supervise children through participation in games & a diverse range of activities
- Join our school holiday program with exciting excursions to the cinemas, zoo and more!
- Qualified (or almost) in Childcare, Education, Humanities, Allied Health, Drama, Sport or similar an advantage.
- A valid Paid Blue Card or willing to obtain.
- The ability to pass a National Police Check
- Availability across a variety of shifts (Morning & Afternoon) Monday - Friday.

About the school
Your new home is at Helping Hands Silkwood, a beautiful OSHC service operating from the unique and innovative Silkwood School, nestled between Nerang and Mount Nathan.
The Helping Hands OSHC service at Silkwood School has an average attendance of 3-4 children in the mornings and approx. 35 children in the afternoons. The service utilizes a dedicated OSHC room, a large veranda and a large nature playground and forest play area including a small creek.
