QUAKERS HILL EAST COMBINED OSHC 

SUPERVISOR ROLE:

  • OSHCSupervisors position or you have the experience to become a Supervisor at our service.
  • AM and PM shifts plus Vacation Care shifts
  • Quakers Hill location commencing as soon as possible

We are currently looking for experienced Supervisors who are genuine and enthusiastic and have a passion to work alongside our team of Educators with children aged 5-12 years in the OSHC sector. 

You would bring your knowledge, leadership and teamwork skills. Previous experience as a Supervisor would be an advantage but not necessary for the right candidate as on the job training will be provided.

Genuine candidates must able to work both AM, PM shifts and Vacation Care shifts - 5 days a week and commencing as soon as possible.

Our Centre is a Not for Profit 200 placed OSHC, located in Acacia Gardens (Quakers Hill) providing care AM and PM Care plus Vacation Care. 

Supervisor’s Role:

  • Assist in the provision of a High Quality Program for all children by following the National Quality Standard, My Time, Our Place, and the Early Years Learning Frameworks.
  • Assist in meeting all Regulatory and Legislative requirements.
  • Provide and support an inclusive environment including children and families with additional needs.
  • Perform specific tasks including, but not limited to, supervision of children, supervision of fellow co-workers with  professionalism and open communication, running activities, setting up or packing away equipment, games, toys etc cleaning and food preparation. 
  • Ensure children are safe, secure and their individual needs are met at all times. 
  • Ensure that confidentiality is maintained and privacy of children, parents, students and educators is respected at all times.
  • Provide a welcoming and professional environment for children, families and team members. 
  • Provide regular communication information to team members at our AM and PM Team Chit Chat daily meetings also including contributing to the team meetings. 
  • Participate and contribute to the ongoing evaluation and quality improvement of the program and engage in the evaluation of the programming with our current Educational Leader.
  • Understand responsibilities and roles but not limited to: work in accordance with Work Health and Safety, Mandatory Reporting, Emergency Procedures and Centre’s Policies and procedures. 
  • Apply workplace Code of Conduct, Values and behaviours

Requirements:

  • Experience and genuine interest in working with children aged 5 – 12 years old
  • Early Childhood/OSHC Certificate – Diploma 
  • A current Working with Children Check 
  • A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012) and Emergency Management of Asthma and Anaphylaxis (or willingness to obtain before commencement)
  • Fully vaccinated for Covid-19 
  • Demonstrated ability to be a Team player and work co-operatively with all educators
  • Current knowledge and experience of a Supervisors Role in the OSHC environment or willingness to work towards a Supervisor Role if you have the experience
  • 2 x checkable work references from previous Supervisors (ready for us to call)

  • 3 months trail period as a casual – during probation period once this period is finalised permanent/part time position will be offered to the right candidate if agreed by both parties.
