Position Overview:
- Northern Beaches location
- Permanent Part Time - Hours/ Days by agreement and flexible up to 15 hours per week
- Immediate start available
- Ownership of the month-end close, including accounts payable and receivable, Board reporting, month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations;
Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure the efficient and effective operations of all finance functions. Responsible for administering accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll functions and providing timely advice and reports to General Manager on financial and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of annual budget including constant monitoring of budget and forecasts as required;
- Full management of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions;
- Full management of payroll function;
- Preparation and lodging various statutory obligations (STP reporting, BAS/ IAS);
- Monitoring and reporting on cash flow;
- Liaising with external auditors, provide information when required and assisting with the Annual Report.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce/Accounting, including CA/CPA qualifications or working towards;
- 2+ years experience working in the finance industry;
- Experience processing payroll is a must for this role;
- Proficient/ advanced excel skills a must in this role,
- Sound technical knowledge of accounting practices, procedures and standards;
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills with a strong orientation toward flexibility and accountability;
- Behave in a professional, honest and ethical manner, respecting persons, place and property;
- A police clearance valid for working in aged care (vulnerable) and clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue;
- You must have the right to work full-time in Australia.
