About the engagement:
Green Light’s delivery team are assisting in delivering projects for an industry leading organisation and have a requirement for a talented Network Engineer (IT/OT). In this role, The Network Engineer will work on a high-profile customer and have a reasonable level of technical experience with the ability to complete small projects individually and work on larger projects under guidance of a Senior resource with the ability to provide technical input.The position is the front-line support service to existing clients and consulting tasks involving the upgrade, remediation, review and analysis of IT and OT environments, systems and infrastructure within their area(s) of expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field incoming requests from end users via phone/email/ticketing system.
  • Create detailed case notes for tickets.
  • Provide technical and architecture expertise and guidance to support Senior IT/OT Engineers
  • Present well thought out Technical/Engineering designs to clients.
  • Attend and contribute to Change Request review meetings as needed.
  • Understand and comply with all onsite safety rules and regulations.
  • Being a part of an on-call roster for response to critical issues
Technical
  • Plan, design, deploy, install, remediate, upgrade and test IT/OT Engineering solutions for clients aligned with areas of specialisation.
  • Contribute to the analysis of IT/OT technical solution costs and determine alternative options for clients.
  • Contribute to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and associated technical testing documents as needed.
  • Solution Design and Deployment
  • Produce accurate, complete, and well thought out IT/OT technical engineering designs and create LLD/HLD documents with attention to detail.
  • Co-ordinate and complete on-schedule deployments of IT/OT technical solutions.
  • Work in conjunction with Support Specialists and Senior IT/OT Engineers on solutions
  • Engage with client and third-parties organisations and technical teams.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, Tafe IT Certificate IV+ or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in an IT/OT Engineering Role in the required area of specialisation.
  • Active Associate or equivalent-level technical certification in the area of specialisation E.g., MCSE, CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSE, CCSE etc or equivalent.
  • Experienced in the creating and contributing to Detailed Design/High-Level Design (HLD)/Low-Level Design Documents.
  • General knowledge of the principles of secure IT/OT environment, network, and systems design.
