About the role:
We are currently seeking casual Outreach Support Workers to join our team in Rockhampton. Our Outreach Support Workers will provide respite to carers by taking planned outings with young people.
What will a typical shift look like?
- Provide opportunities for children and young people to develop and learn life skills appropriate to their age and ability.
- Support young people in maintaining connections with family, culture, country, and community.
- Support young people to develop safety, health, and wellbeing measures.
- Support social, recreational, educational and health activities for young people in line with their individual care plan.
- Support young people in accessing appointments (transport).
- Engage therapeutically with young people

Mandatory Requirements:
- Full COVID-19 Vaccination
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention/Community Services or equivalent or working toward this qualification (proof of enrolment required).
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) completed or scheduled prior to commencement of employment. Available through ACQ.
- Hope and Healing Modules (10 modules) completed prior to commencement of employment.
- Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
- Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
Desirable:
- Relevant experience in out of home care is highly desirable.

- The ability to identify and embed solutions.
- Demonstrated experience working within a high-performance framework where you are accountable for KPIs on program delivery and outcomes, within a face-paced solutions focussed environment.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- A strong communicator, able to quickly build rapport and influence across a diverse range of people.
