Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best fit Youth Workers to Youth Service Organisations across Australia.
Overview of the role:
- Support children in family-based placements with education, medical appointments, family contact, social and cultural connections, positive living skills, community inclusion and family relationships.
- Assist with transportation to school, appointments, community access as well as in-home support.
- Respond to the young person’s emotional and functional needs and the development of their personal skills.
- Work within a team to provide trauma informed & therapeutic care to young people who present complex needs due to past trauma and abuse.
- Provide a safe, home environment while supporting young people to achieve their goals.
- Assist with administrative requirements and household duties.
- Shift times are based around the children attending school.
- Hours will be extended during school holidays.
- Weekday shifts: 7am to 10am & 3pm to 7pm.
- Weekend shifts: 7am to 3pm & 3pm to 11pm
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or Youth Work (high desirable)
- Australian driver's license
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR
- Working with Children Check (paid employee status)
- Have a reliable car with registration.
- Reliable smart phone with data
- Previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs.

- Thorough organisational induction, ongoing training, and support.
- Casual position with consistent hours, however, to supplement consistent shifts staff ideally should be available to be pick up backfill shifts.
