Belair Community OOSH is a not for profit organisation run by a parent management committee. We are a community focused OOSH servicing Belair Public School and Kotara South Public School. We are searching for a full time and part time Educator to join our team of passionate educators, creating a welcoming and nurturing environment for our school-aged children.
About you
Are you passionate about working with children and providing them with engaging and fulfilling activities? In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing age-appropriate programs for children participants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in promoting their physical, mental, and social well-being. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as you will be interacting with children, their families, and other educators on a daily basis.
Your availability:
Full time: 6.45am-9am and 1pm - 6pm. Split shift during term.
Vacation care shifts between 7am-6pm (we can be flexible).
Part time: 20 hours per week. Between hours of 6.45am-9am and 1-6pm (we can be flexible).

Qualifications:
Diploma of Early childhood education
Other requirements:
- 3 + years experience working in a child related field, preferably OOSH.
- Child Protection Qualification
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training
- Clear Working with Children Check
- Experience working with children in a educational setting - OOSH experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to think creatively and design engaging activities
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
Position Summary
Reporting to the Coordinator, the Educator is responsible for the supervision, care and wellbeing of children enrolled at the service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the team in planning and delivering engaging and educational activities for children aged 5-12 years
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times
- Collaborate with other educators to implement activities
- Maintain a clean and organised learning environment
