Responsibilities:

• Develop and launch packaging solutions in line with Marketing, or factory improvement initiative while ensuring packaging safety, quality, functionality, and sustainability objectives are being met in a cost-efficient manner.
• Collaborate internally and externally to build relationships to continuously improve technical skills and personal development.
• Research and test new packaging materials and methods.
• Create and maintain packaging specifications and documentation.
• Awareness of Packaging Operations and the continual improvement to drive efficiencies.
• Identifying opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
• Running trials to check packaging for suitability and testing for performance under various conditions.
• Participate in relevant consumer research activities and, for specific structural package development projects, assists in the development of appropriate consumer research plans. 
• Own/identify efficiency opportunities, including short term trouble shooting, deliver projects using to continuously improve overall packaging line performance.
• Ensure compliance to specified requirements for packaging materials, finished pack quality, and to standard packaging line parameters.
• Drive technical matter with packaging suppliers. 
• Participate in the selection of packaging material and equipment suppliers.
• Maintain/Develop packaging specifications documentation.

Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Packaging, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) or similar degree.
• 2-5 years of experience preferred in packaging or related field of work in FMCG factory environment.
• Interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal communication, organizational skills, project management skills must all be strong.
• Must be capable of working in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal direct supervision and the ability to adhere to aggressive deadlines.
• Consumer and customer oriented, continuous improvement mindset.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook and Word, Excel, etc., as well as strong analytical & organization skills.
